Temporary exhibition "Wounded soldier, sports soldier: itinerary of a reconstruction"

Temporary exhibition "Wounded soldier, sports soldier: itinerary of a reconstruction"
26 juin 2024 - 2 février 2025
MEL

The First World War left a lasting mark on the bodies and minds of soldiers. During this period, the development of new prostheses and the creation of new institutions made it possible to meet the needs of wounded soldiers. Rehabilitation through sport was promoted throughout the 20th century. Through sport, soldiers become the first athletes in sports competitions. On the occasion of the organization of the Olympic and Paralympic Games in France during the summer of 2024, discover the innovations, major events and the course of these athletes.
