Because she prefers to confront spectators with their perceptions rather than with a moralizing discourse, Ntando Celo uses singing, music, dance, multimedia to theatricalize her battles and share her concerns. Wasted Land recalls the climate emergency in a cathartic and jubilant way. An alternation of multidisciplinary sequences, frenzied, funny, cruel or contemplative follow one another in a decor-landscape in permanent metamorphosis. The catastrophic damage caused by fast-fashion to which ecological initiatives respond that are as weak-willed as they are hypocritical, are staged in a merciless face-to-face, opposing poor countries and Western powers.

Parce qu’elle préfère confronter les spectateurices à leurs perceptions qu’à un discours moralisateur, Ntando Celo utilise le chant, la musique, la danse, le multimédia pour théâtraliser ses combats et partager ses inquiétudes. Wasted Land rappelle l’urgence climatique de manière exutoire et jubilatoire. Une alternance de séquences pluridisciplinaires, endiablées, drôles, cruelles ou contemplatives se succèdent dans un décorum-paysage en permanente métamorphose. Les dommages catastrophiques causés par la fast-fashion auxquels répondent des initiatives écologiques aussi velléitaires qu’hypocrites, sont mis en scène dans un face à face impitoyable, opposant pays pauvres et puissances occidentales.
