On the last Sunday of every month, the MIR offers a guided tour
From September 25, 2026, to January 24, 2027, the International Museum of the Reformation will present a groundbreaking exhibition dedicated to Ferdinand Hodler. Through some fifty paintings, drawings, and documents drawn from the most prestigious art collections in Switzerland and Germany, the exhibition offers a new interpretation of his work as a modern spiritual quest: from his early Protestant-inspired religious scenes to his Symbolist compositions, the artist explores the unity between human beings, nature, and a universal harmony of forms.
Curated by Niklaus Manuel Güdel, the exhibition reveals the inner, contemplative dimension of a body of work in which nature, the body, and rhythm become vehicles for a spiritual experience. A catalog, along with a program of lectures, guided tours, and musical and theatrical performances, accompanies this exhibition.
