Impassive submission
It is step by step, without coercive violence, that the individual enters the cycle of submission. By ingeniously combining digital arts and dance, Brouhaha lays bare the cold mechanics of this consensual alienation. Edifying!
The sequence of steps sometimes reveals the one to which the spirits submit. Little by little, with no other injunction than respect for social norms, we slip into our "accepting body" in the role that society assigns to us. There is no need for direct orders or demonstrations of force, this training is carried out gently, renunciation after renunciation, accommodation after accommodation. To account for the subjugation that threatens, individual as well as collective, Brouhaha proceeds in loops. Those who organize the movements, witnesses of an increasingly compact mental confinement, and those who are musical, who provide their hypnotic rhythm to the manipulation. Thus a mechanism of obedience emerges, implacable and cold, whose cogs borrow from the modes of alienation of sects. Let us beware of the structures that shape our behaviors: invisible, they are like the iron fist in a velvet glove...
A veritable cartography of conformism, with a purely mathematical rigor, Brouhaha shows how power takes hold of bodies and minds. A slow and effective work of undermining that we are not necessarily aware of.

Brouhaha
