This house is bought for the artist by his parents. In 1862, he plans to keep his works of art there. In 1895, he enlarged the house and built by the architect Albert Lafon the large workshops of the second and third floors, in order to present watercolor paintings, drawings and sketches. One can see the following paintings: «The Pretenders» of 1852, «Hesiod and the muses», around 1860, «Prometheus» around 1868, «The Apparition», around 1876, «The Life of Humanity», around 1886, «Orpheus on the tomb of Eurydice», around 1890, «The Angels of Sodom», around 1890, "the Peacock complaining at Juno", around 1881.
