In the morning: a dance class open to all

At 10am – Dance workshop with the Toulouse Company Terre Rouge
This workshop is an invitation to connect with oneself and others. Give free rein to the dancer who sleeps within you and live a moment of sharing around the movement.

The afternoon: art, dance and emotions

14h: Guided tour of the Hussards collection
15h & 17h: Performances danced by the Company Terre Rouge
On the occasion of the exhibition on the body in art, let yourself be carried away by the vibrant energy of the dancers. Their deeply rooted style unfolds in powerful gestures, expressing strength and stability. Each performer nourishes his dance with his cultural heritage, thus offering a moving dialogue between identity, roots and universality.
16h: Guided tour of the temporary exhibition

The museum, located in a "remarkable" garden, arose from the dream of Placide Massey, guiding in the XIXth century of gardens in Versailles. Its house offers to the public today a modern museum.
The Massey museum in the label «museum of France» possesses the first international collection of the Hussars.
This collection is rich currently in more than 17 000 objects which offer an overall view on one of the most unusual and the most appealing military "phenomena", today even, bound(connected) to certain imagination.
Big(Great) stages of the museographic route(course) put the emphasis on the tactical originality which gave birth(rise) in "phenomenon hussar", its expansion across the world of the 16th in the 20th century, the office(durability) of Hungarian origin in identity and role of Tarbes as academy for France. More than one hundred and fifty models and busts, six hundred weapons and a hundred of paintings(paints), of artists such as Ernest Meissonnier or Edward Detaille tell the animated story of these hussars of thirty different countries. Aspects the most epic as the most personal are evoked across a precise speech, genuine articles, a chosen iconography and the appeal(recourse) to new technologies there.

the collection Fine Arts
Big(Great) erudite person and art collector, deputy of the Hautes-Pyrénées, Achilles Jubinal in the XIXth century was at the origin of the collection Beautiful Art of the museum Massey. It is about major works of the Italian painting(paint) of the XVIth and XVIIth centuries, Dutch and Flemish paintings(paints) of the XVIth and XVIIth centuries and of the French paintings(paints) of the XVIIIth and XIXth centuries.
His(Her,Its) action(share) provoked other gifts(donations), as those of the family Fould and of the Academic Company(Society) of the Hautes-Pyrénées as well as the deposits(warehouses) granted by the State.
