Man stellt sich die Vorgeschichte oft als permanenten Kampf um das Überleben vor. Aber die Realität ist viel mächtiger: Die Menschen haben ihre Umwelt nicht nur überlebt, sie haben sie geformt. Angesichts wechselnder Klimazonen, wilder Tiere und manchmal feindseliger Landschaften haben sie ihre Welt, unsere Welt verändert. Sie domestizierten die Fue, bauten Schutzräume ein, wählten die Rssquellen aus, änderten das Gebiet nach ihren Bedürfnissen. Sie haben gelernt, vorauszudenken, sich zu organisieren, zu vermitteln. Das Überleben in der Vorgeschichte ist also kein einfacher Widerstand, es ist eine Fähigkeit, auf die Umwelt einzuwirken, sie so anzupassen wie sich an sie anzupassen. Darin liegt die wahre Resilienz.

Prehistory is often imagined as a permanent struggle to survive. But the reality is far more powerful: Humans have not only survived their environment, they have shaped it. Faced with changing climates, wild animals and sometimes hostile landscapes, they have transformed their world, our world. They domesticated the fue, built shelters, selected rsssources, modified the territory according to their needs. They learned to anticipate, to organize, to transmit. Survival, during prehistory, is not a simple resistance, it is an ability to act on its environment, to adapt it as much as to adapt to it. This is where the true resilience lies.
It is so that everyone can reflect on this that we chose to talk about survival in hostile environments during the night of Museums 2026 at the Museum of Alta Rocca, with activities especially designed for the youngest.

La preistoria è spesso immaginata come una lotta permanente per sopravvivere. Ma la realtà è molto più potente: Gli esseri umani non solo sono sopravvissuti al loro ambiente, ma l'hanno modellato. Di fronte ai cambiamenti climatici, agli animali selvatici e a volte ai paesaggi ostili, hanno trasformato il loro mondo, il nostro mondo. Essi addomesticarono il fue, costruirono rifugi, selezionarono fonti, modificarono il territorio in base alle loro esigenze. Hanno imparato ad anticipare, organizzare, trasmettere. La sopravvivenza, durante la preistoria, non è una semplice resistenza, è una capacità di agire sul suo ambiente, di adattarlo tanto quanto di adattarsi ad esso. È qui che risiede la vera resilienza.
È così che tutti possano riflettere su questo che abbiamo scelto di parlare di sopravvivenza in ambienti ostili durante la notte dei Musei 2026 presso il Museo dell'alta Rocca, con attività pensate appositamente per i più giovani.

On imagine souvent la Préhistoire comme une lutte permanente pour survivre. Mais la réalité est bien plus puissante : les humains ne se sont pas contentés de survivre à leur environnement, ils l'ont façonné. Face aux climats changeants, aux animaux sauvages et aux paysages parfois hostiles, ils ont transformé leur monde, notre monde. Ils ont domestiqué le fue, aménagé des abris, sélectionné les rsssources, modifié le territoire en fonction de leurs besoins. Ils ont appris à anticiper, à s'organiser, à transmettre. La survie, durant la Préhistoire, ce n'est donc pas une simple résistance, c'est une capacité à agir sur son environnement, à l'adapter autant qu'à s'y adapter. C'est là que réside la véritable résilience.
