🌉 Besichtigung der Pont Saint-Esprit
Die im 14. Jahrhundert erbaute Pont Saint-Esprit war 44 Jahre lang von 1265 bis 1309 in Bau. Die Verwaltung und Finanzierung wurde von Händlern im Werk des Heiligen Geistes, das ihm seinen Namen gab, sichergestellt.
Es wurde im 19. Jahrhundert erweitert: zwei ursprüngliche Bögen wurden durch einen Bogen aus Gusseisen ersetzt, um den Durchgang von breiteren Schiffen zu erleichtern. Diese Arche wurde bei der Bombardierung vom 15. August 1944 zerstört und 1954 in Stahlbeton wieder aufgebaut.
Mit 26 Bögen auf fast einem Kilometer ist sie die älteste Brücke über die Rhône.

🌉 Visit of the Holy Spirit Bridge
Built in the 14th century, the Saint-Esprit bridge required 44 years of work, from 1265 to 1309. Its management and financing were ensured by merchants gathered within the Work of the Holy Spirit, which gave it its name.
It is widened in the 19th century: two original arches are replaced by a cast iron arch to facilitate the passage of wider boats. This arch is destroyed during the bombing of August 15, 1944 and rebuilt in reinforced concrete in 1954.
With its 26 arches over nearly a kilometer, it is the oldest bridge over the Rhône.

Costruito nel XIV secolo, il ponte Saint-Esprit ha richiesto 44 anni di lavori, dal 1265 al 1309. La sua gestione e il suo finanziamento sono stati assicurati da mercanti riuniti nell'Opera dello Spirito Santo, che gli ha dato il nome.
Fu ampliato nel XIX secolo: due archi originali furono sostituiti da un arco in ghisa per facilitare il passaggio di navi più larghe. Quest'arca viene distrutta durante il bombardamento del 15 agosto 1944 e ricostruita in cemento armato nel 1954.
Con i suoi 26 archi su quasi un chilometro, è il più antico ponte sul Rodano.

Construit au XIVᵉ siècle, le pont Saint-Esprit a nécessité 44 ans de travaux, de 1265 à 1309. Sa gestion et son financement ont été assurés par des marchands réunis au sein de l’Œuvre du Saint-Esprit, qui lui a donné son nom.
Il est élargi au XIXᵉ siècle : deux arches d’origine sont remplacées par une arche en fonte pour faciliter le passage de bateaux plus larges. Cette arche est détruite lors du bombardement du 15 août 1944 et reconstruite en béton armé en 1954.
Avec ses 26 arches sur près d’un kilomètre, il est le plus vieux pont sur le Rhône.

Se amplió en el siglo XIX: dos arcos originales fueron reemplazados por un arco de hierro fundido para facilitar el paso de barcos más anchos. Este arco fue destruido durante el bombardeo del 15 de agosto de 1944 y reconstruido en hormigón armado en 1954.
Con sus 26 arcos de casi un kilómetro, es el puente más antiguo sobre el Ródano.
