22 boulevard de la Marquette 31000 Toulouse
Located near the old rampart of Toulouse, this garden surprises by its exoticism. It houses the Japanese garden Pierre-Baudis, zen garden with tea pavilion, red bridge and dragon.
On some 7 ha, we relax, watch the children play, have a drink at the bar, picnic on the edge of the vast body of water...
Created in 1980 at the initiative of mayor Pierre Baudis to replace the site of the barracks abandoned by the army, there are also spaces dedicated to the cities twinned with Toulouse: for Elche, a bust of the Lady of Elche; a Picasso statue for Kiev and a phoenix sculpture for Atlanta.
Posted at its entrance, the statue of a famous character welcomes visitors: Carlos Gardel, star singer of the Argentine tango, born in Toulouse in 1890.
