John und Gabriel nehmen die Straße durch die Ardèche. Von Norden nach Süden kommen sie von einer Begegnung zur nächsten, getragen von ihrer Freundschaft, ihrer Neugier und diesem Wunsch, zu den anderen zu gehen.
Mit dem Auto, dem Bus, dem Heißluftballon oder dem Fahrrad - die Reise verändert ihr Tempo und ihren Blick. Die Landschaften ziehen vorbei, die Stimmen antworten einander, die Geschichten kreuzen sich und öffnen nach und nach einen intimeren Weg. Im Laufe dieser Reise wird die Ardèche zum lebendigen Schauplatz eines menschlichen Abenteuers. Hinter den Landschaften und Erzählungen hinterfragt der Film, was uns mit anderen verbindet, was wir vermitteln möchten und diese wertvolle Fähigkeit, noch einmal zu staunen.

John and Gabriel take the road through the Ardèche. From north to south, they go from one meeting to another, driven by their friendship, their curiosity and this desire to reach out to others.
By car, coach, hot air balloon or bicycle, the journey changes pace and perspective. Landscapes pass by, voices respond to each other, stories intersect, gradually opening a more intimate path. Throughout this journey, the Ardèche becomes the living scenery of a human adventure. Behind the landscapes and stories, the film questions what connects us to others, what we choose to transmit, and this precious ability to still marvel.
