Urban Sketchers Nantes
The collective Urban Sketchers (USk) was born in the USA a little before 2010. The principle: gather all those who take pictures of their environment, always in situ, that is to say on site. Through social networks, outings are organized and drawings are shared around the world.
In Nantes, a USk group was born in 2015 and continues to attract new followers, who meet twice a month to sketch the city and the department. The collective even organizes in 2024 the 11th national meeting and thus welcomes for 4 days more than 1,000 cartoonists from all over France (and even beyond) to sketch the city of the Dukes.
For the event "1 hall, 1 artist", the Nantes collective proposes to draw the Île Feydeau and its surroundings, as well as the activities planned for the event (exhibition, concert...). At the QG, you will be able to discover the drawings made during the weekend and if you play along, you can even have your notebooks stamped with an exclusive design created for the event.
In addition, on Sunday morning, from 10am to 12pm, the members of the collective will offer you to take a walk down Kervégan Street with their advice. This is your chance to get started.
