Der Hügel Saint-Michel, ein außergewöhnlicher Ort
Eingebettet in eine grüne Umgebung, befindet sich die Kapelle Saint-Michel in einer bemerkenswerten Lage auf dem gleichnamigen Hügel, oberhalb der Höhle und unterhalb des Kalvarienberges mit den drei Kreuzen, von wo aus man einen 360°-Blick hat.
In den 1970er Jahren schuf der einheimische Maler Pierre Martinez eine Wandmalerei zu Ehren des heiligen Michael. Sie beschreibt die verschiedenen Industrien von Arudy, bietet einen Einblick in das Herz der Stadt und enthält auch ein Selbstporträt des Künstlers.
Die Freiwilligen des Vereins Pyrène l'Ossaloise bieten Ihnen eine kommentierte Besichtigung der Kapelle und der Höhle an. Seit 2019 setzen sie sich dafür ein, die Geschichte des Geländes bekannt zu machen, seinen Schutz und seine Pflege zu gewährleisten und dazu beizutragen, es lebendig zu machen.

Nestled in lush greenery, the Saint-Michel chapel occupies a remarkable position on the eponymous hill, above the cave and below the Calvary with three crosses, which offers a 360°view.
In the 1970s, local painter Pierre Martinez created a mural in honor of Saint Michael. It evokes the different industries of Arudy, offers a perspective on the heart of the city and also includes a self-portrait of the artist.
The volunteers of the association Pyrène l'Ossaloise offer you a guided tour of the chapel and the cave. Since 2019, they have been mobilizing to publicize the history of the site, ensure its protection and maintenance, and contribute to bringing it to life.

Nichée dans un écrin de verdure, la chapelle Saint-Michel occupe une situation remarquable sur la colline éponyme, au-dessus de la grotte et en contrebas du calvaire aux trois croix, qui offre une vue à 360°.
Dans les années 1970, l’artiste peintre local Pierre Martinez y a réalisé une fresque murale en l’honneur de saint Michel. Elle évoque les différentes industries d’Arudy, offre une perspective sur le cœur de la ville et comprend également un autoportrait de l’artiste.
Les bénévoles de l’association Pyrène l’Ossaloise vous proposent une visite commentée de la chapelle et de la grotte. Depuis 2019, ils se mobilisent pour faire connaître l’histoire du site, assurer sa protection et son entretien, et contribuer à le faire vivre.
