Was ist also unter Gier zu verstehen? Eine Sünde oder eine Eigenschaft? E se il termine esiste ancora ai giorni nostri, ha conosciuto nette inflessioni nel corso dei secoli e rimane ambivalente nella cultura occidentale. Allora, cosa si intende con golosità? Peccato o qualità? La goffaggine e l'ingordigia che la Chiesa e le buone maniere ripudiano fin dal Medioevo, l'arte della buona tavola coltivata a tempo libero da distinti buongustai poi da elitari gastronomi o una propensione "naturale" dei bambini per i dolci?

Et si le terme existe toujours de nos jours, il a connu de nettes inflexions au cours des siècles et demeure ambivalent dans la culture occidentale. Dès lors que faut-il entendre par gourmandise ? Un péché ou une qualité ? La goinfrerie et la gloutonnerie que l’Eglise et les bonnes manières réprouvent dès le Moyen Âge, l’art de la bonne chère cultivé à loisir par de distingués gourmets puis d’élitistes gastronomes ou un penchant « naturel » des enfants pour les sucreries ?
