Château Morange

During the first decade of the reign of Napoleon III, Saint-Denis was endowed with public buildings and particularly remarkable houses. Characteristic of official architecture, the Château Morange is a major achievement of this period. The plans of the house, located on a plot of about 7 hectares, are entrusted to Victor Frappier de Montbenoît. Completed in 1861, it is the subject of the following description on a property deed dating from 1924: it is a large house built in metal stone with an inner courtyard and circular galleries, known as the Castle. It is surrounded by outbuildings, to the south, comprising two bodies of stone buildings covered in tiles, each with two rooms. Following, is a large wooden house covered in tiles then two stables built in stone.
