Exhibition FREE! Lives and struggles against slavery
An exhibition proposed by the Rings of Memory
Bringing the unsung heroines out of the shadows. From Africa to the West Indies, this exhibition pays tribute to women—rebels, intellectuals or activists—who fought against slavery and invented a thousand forms of resistance.

Dive into the fascinating trajectory of a "child of abolition".
Discover man in all his nuances:
- The prodigy: Son of freedmen from a very modest background, he broke social barriers and joined the École Polytechnique.
- The high-ranking officer: His career in the French Navy at the service of French colonial expansion. Its role in the consolidation of the empire and the suppression of local revolts.
- The committed humanist: his final fight against racism and his role as a mentor for Caribbean youth

Une exposition proposée par les Anneaux de la Mémoire
Sortir de l'ombre les héroïnes méconnues. De l'Afrique aux Antilles, cette exposition rend hommage aux femmes — révoltées, intellectuelles ou militantes — qui ont lutté contre l'esclavage et inventé mille formes de résistance.

L'officier de haut rang : Sa carrière au sein de la Marine nationale au service de l'expansion coloniale française. Son rôle dans la consolidation de l'empire et la répression des révoltes locales.
L'humaniste engagé : Son combat final contre le racisme et son rôle de mentor pour la jeunesse antillaise

Redécouvrez l'âme du musée à travers un itinéraire dédié à Victor Schœlcher. Ce parcours retrace la vie et l'œuvre de l'abolitionniste, dont le don personnel est à l'origine de nos collections.

Una exposición propuesta por los anillos de la memoria
Sacar de la sombra a las heroínas desconocidas. De África a las Antillas, esta exposición rinde homenaje a las mujeres -rebeldes, intelectuales o militantes- que lucharon contra la esclavitud e inventaron mil formas de resistencia.
