In DIE WÜRFEL einzutreten bedeutet, eine Werkstatt zu betreten, in der Metall zur Skulptur wird.
Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes eröffnet Alain Vuillemet sein Atelier in Saint-Aubin-Château-Neuf und lädt die Öffentlichkeit ein, hinter die Kulissen seiner Arbeit als Bildhauer zu schauen.
Der Besuch ermöglicht es, die verschiedenen Phasen zu entdecken, die vom Material bis zur Arbeit führen: Entwurf, Zuschnitt, Umformung, Kesselbau, Schweißen, Montage und Endbearbeitung. Stahl, Edelstahl und Messing werden dort wegen ihrer plastischen Eigenschaften, ihrer Oberflächen, aber auch wegen ihrer Schwingungs- und Resonanzfähigkeit verarbeitet.
Maschinen, Werkzeuge, Materialien, im Bau befindliche Werke und abgeschlossene Skulpturen ermöglichen es, die Herstellung einer Metallskulptur konkret zu verstehen, von der Werkstatt bis zur Installation im öffentlichen Raum oder in einer Sammlung.
Ein Teil des Besuchs ist der Metallophonie gewidmet, einer von Alain Vuillemet entwickelten Forschung über die Schwingung und akustischen Eigenschaften von Metall. Die Materie wird dann nicht mehr nur betrachtet, sondern wird auch zur Quelle von Schwingung und Klang.
Diese Eröffnung der CUBES ist die Gelegenheit, einen lebendigen Ort der Schöpfung zu entdecken und den Künstler direkt in seinem Arbeitsumfeld kennenzulernen.

Entering LES CUBES is like entering a workshop where metal becomes sculpture.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Alain Vuillemet opens his studio in Saint-Aubin-Château-Neuf and invites the public to discover behind the scenes of his work as a sculptor.
The visit allows you to discover the different steps that lead from material to work: design, cutting, forming, boiler making, welding, assembly and finishing. Steel, stainless steel and brass are worked for their plastic qualities, their surfaces, but also for their ability to vibrate and enter into resonance.
Machines, tools, materials, works in progress and completed sculptures provide a concrete understanding of the making of a metal sculpture, from the workshop to its installation in public space or in a collection.
Part of the visit is devoted to Metallophonie, research developed by Alain Vuillemet around vibration and acoustic properties of metal. Matter is no longer only looked at: it also becomes a source of vibration and sound.
This opening of the CUBES is an opportunity to discover a place of living creation and to meet directly the artist in his work environment.

Entrare in LES CUBES significa entrare in un laboratorio dove il metallo diventa scultura.
In occasione delle Giornate europee del patrimonio, Alain Vuillemet apre il suo studio di Saint-Aubin-Château-Neuf e invita il pubblico a scoprire i retroscena del suo lavoro di scultore.
La visita permette di scoprire le diverse fasi che portano dal materiale all'opera: progettazione, taglio, formatura, calcografia, saldatura, assemblaggio e finitura. Acciaio, acciaio inox e ottone sono lavorati per le loro qualità plastiche, le superfici, ma anche per la loro capacità di vibrare e entrare in risonanza.
Macchine, strumenti, materiali, opere in corso di realizzazione e sculture completate permettono di comprendere concretamente la realizzazione di una scultura metallica, dall'officina fino alla sua installazione nello spazio pubblico o in una collezione.
Una parte della visita è dedicata a Metallophonie, ricerca sviluppata da Alain Vuillemet sulla vibrazione e le proprietà acustiche del metallo. La materia non è più solo osservata: diventa anche fonte di vibrazione e di suono.
Questa apertura dei CUBI è l'occasione per scoprire un luogo di creazione vivente e incontrare direttamente l'artista nel suo ambiente di lavoro.

Entrer dans LES CUBES, c'est entrer dans un atelier où le métal devient sculpture.
À l'occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, Alain Vuillemet ouvre son atelier de Saint-Aubin-Château-Neuf et invite le public à découvrir les coulisses de son travail de sculpteur.
La visite permet de découvrir les différentes étapes qui conduisent de la matière à l'œuvre : conception, découpe, formage, chaudronnerie, soudure, assemblage et finition. Acier, inox et laiton y sont travaillés pour leurs qualités plastiques, leurs surfaces, mais également pour leur capacité à vibrer et à entrer en résonance.
Machines, outils, matériaux, œuvres en cours de réalisation et sculptures achevées permettent de comprendre concrètement la fabrication d'une sculpture métallique, depuis l'atelier jusqu'à son installation dans l'espace public ou dans une collection.
Une partie de la visite est consacrée à **Metallophonie**, recherche développée par Alain Vuillemet autour de la vibration et des propriétés acoustiques du métal. La matière n'est alors plus seulement regardée : elle devient également source de vibration et de son.
Cette ouverture des CUBES est l'occasion de découvrir un lieu de création vivant et de rencontrer directement l'artiste dans son environnement de travail.

Entrar en LOS CUBOS es entrar en un taller donde el metal se convierte en escultura.
Con ocasión de las Jornadas europeas del patrimonio, Alain Vuillemet abre su taller en Saint-Aubin-Château-Neuf e invita al público a descubrir los bastidores de su trabajo de escultor.
La visita permite descubrir las diferentes etapas que conducen del material a la obra: diseño, corte, moldeado, calderería, soldadura, montaje y acabado. Acero, acero inoxidable y latón se trabajan allí por sus calidades plásticas, sus superficies, pero también por su capacidad de vibrar y entrar en resonancia.
Máquinas, herramientas, materiales, obras en curso de realización y esculturas terminadas permiten comprender concretamente la fabricación de una escultura metálica, desde el taller hasta su instalación en el espacio público o en una colección.
Una parte de la visita está dedicada a Metallophonie, investigación desarrollada por Alain Vuillemet en torno a la vibración y las propiedades acústicas del metal. La materia ya no se ve solamente: también se convierte en fuente de vibración y sonido.
Esta apertura de los CUBOS es la oportunidad de descubrir un lugar de creación vivo y conocer directamente al artista en su entorno de trabajo.
