Château de Breteuil 78460 Choisel
On the site of a medieval fortress, construction of the castle at the end of the 16th and beginning of the 17th century, in the style of Henri IV (current central part of the main building in stone and brick, with high attics). In 1712, lands and castle enter the heritage of the Breteuil: many expansions and embellishments, especially creation of a French garden. Around 1900, restoration of the gardens by Henri and Achille Duchêne and construction of the two wings at right angles.
