At 7 p.m., attend the acoustic concert of Sweetest Choice.
Sébastien Cirotteau (trumpet) and Benjamin Glibert (12-string guitar) present their new repertoire, "Light Songs". In search of light and joy, the duo offers an intimate folk interpretation of works by women composers from the 12th to the 20th century.
On stage, a four-voice madrigal by Maddalena Casulana dialogues with a hiccup by Meredith Monk, while a greeting by Kayanza (Burundi) echoes a mystical tune by Hildegarde de Bingen. The subtle dialogue between the trumpet and the 12-string guitar offers a sensitive interpretation, mixing ancient sounds with resolutely contemporary arrangements.
