The site of the castle has two towers, the only remains in elevation of the castle and, in the former farmyard, the building of the stables. In the years 1520-1530, the first works carried out correspond to a phase of embellishment and interventions in the courtyard. In the second half of the 16th century, fortification of the site was carried out in the context of the religious wars. Renderings show a castle of square plan, enclosed by towers all different, surrounded by a moat and a peripheral boulevard, with corner pavilions. Below, the backyard was lined with other buildings. The lodge was organized around an inner central courtyard. This courtyard was presented in the Renaissance with twisted columns. Vestiges of furniture show carved limestone medallions, representing a female bust and a lion mask. The position of the stables is quite traditional for the time. The building of the stables is quite exceptional because of the rarity of the corpus of Renaissance stables preserved in France. It is a large rectangular building about 37 meters long by 12 meters wide. The main facade is occupied by a late-built apentis. It has three levels of bays and a vaulted ground floor with two levels of attic. The masonry is made of rubble. An elevation of the walls is visible around the entire perimeter of the building. The main facade as well as the north gable retain the traces of a coating of decoration of false gray apparatus with false white joints, probably dating back to the 17th or 18th century and taking up a pre-existing decoration. Renaissance skylights are carved, with a crowning formed by a shell pediment and pyramidions. The pilasters feature a decoration of carved discs. The interior was covered by a continuous vault and a long broken cradle that survives only on the northern third of the building. Vestiges of painting are preserved, depicting scenes and horses. The decoration developed on four registers with a summit frieze of medallions, registers of scenes, the last element being constituted by a frieze bearing an inscription. The style of the paintings indicates a priori an achievement dating back to the second half of the 16th century. The building is covered by a framework of eight farms, not reworked since its establishment. The ground was covered with a paving in pebbles, separated by a central gutter whose evacuation is arranged within the south gable. Remnants of walls, probably feeder supports, remain from the internal layout. There must also be non-sustainable structures.
