Archaeo-sexism
From September 19 to November 30, as part of its annual theme devoted to feminine archaeology, the Villa-Loupian museum will host the exhibition Archéo-Sexisme.
This traveling exhibition brings together testimonies on sexism in archaeology, mainly on the grounds of excavations. It aims to encourage diversity and equality through better ethics in the world of research.
The testimonies, collected by Paye ta Truelle and the association Archéo-Éthique, were illustrated by artists.
Inaugurated for the first time on 8 March 2019, on the occasion of International Women’s Rights Day, at the Maison de l'Archéologie et de l'Ethnologie, on the Nanterre campus, the exhibition has since been circulated in many teaching and research institutions, as well as in museums, in France, Belgium and Switzerland.
