Die Schweizerische Stiftung hat sich von dem Thema "Kulturerbe in Gefahr: wiederbeleben, widerstehen, neu erfinden" inspirieren lassen und bietet zwei Dokumentarfilme an, die über aussterbende Traditionen oder immer noch lebende Mythen sprechen und dieses Thema mit einem Hauch von Humor angehen.

Diese Dokumentation bietet eine Reise auf den Spuren der in die USA eingewanderten Schweizer Anabaptisten ab dem späten 17. Jahrhundert. Die anabaptistischen Gemeinden gründeten Städte mit eindrucksvollen Namen wie Bern und Genf in Indiana oder Zürich. Die Dokumentation untersucht, wie diese Gemeinden ihr Schweizer Erbe bewahrt haben. "American Yodel" bietet einen informativen, lustigen und bewegenden Blick auf diese aus der Schweiz stammenden Einwanderergemeinschaften, ihre Geschichte, ihre Traditionen und ihre Anpassung an das amerikanische Leben.

Die Helvetier prägten die Identität der Schweiz. Jüngste Entdeckungen zeigen jedoch, dass diese Helvetier erst im ersten Jahrhundert v. Chr. auf das Schweizer Mittelland kamen und sofort wieder abreisen wollten, um in den Südwesten Galliens auszuwandern. Die Rolle der Helvetier und die Ursprünge der Confœderatio Helvetica werden daher im Laufe des Films erneut untersucht.

This documentary offers a journey in the footsteps of the Swiss Anabaptists who immigrated to the United States at the end of the 17th century. Anabaptist communities founded cities with evocative names such as Bern and Geneva in Indiana or Zurich. The documentary explores how these communities have preserved their Swiss heritage. "American Yodel" offers an informative, funny and moving look at these communities from Swiss immigration, their history, traditions and adaptation to American life.

Projection of Switzerland in the Iron Age: the Helvetii, a myth under scrutiny, directed by Philippe Nicolet (2025 – duration: 52 minutes).
The Helvetii shaped the identity of Switzerland. But recent discoveries show that these Helvetians do not arrive on the Swiss plateau until the 1st century BC and are thinking of leaving immediately to emigrate in the southwest of Gaul. The role of the Helvetians and the origins of the Confœderatio Helvetica will therefore be re-examined throughout the film.

Gli svizzeri hanno forgiato l'identità della Svizzera. Ma recenti scoperte mostrano che questi svizzeri arrivano sull'altopiano svizzero solo nel I secolo a.C. e pensano di ripartire subito per emigrare nella Gallia sud-occidentale. Il ruolo degli Helveti e le origini della Confœderatio Helvetica saranno quindi riesaminati nel corso del film.

Los helvéticos forjaron la identidad de Suiza. Pero descubrimientos recientes muestran que estos helvéticos llegaron a la meseta suiza recién en el siglo I antes de nuestra era y pensaron en volver inmediatamente para emigrar al suroeste de la Galia. El papel de los helvéticos y los orígenes de la Confœderatio Helvetica serán revisados a lo largo del film.
