With this visit, Agora Txingudi shows how the fort of Andaye assumed between 1785 and 1793 the three functions of psychological marker of the beginning of the lands of France, protector of the Hendayese fishermen and advanced position in the defense strategy of Bayonne. Unfortunately, damaged in 1793 by the attacks of the Spanish general Ventura Caro, the attack on Wellington in 1813, sold by the Ministry of the Armed Forces, it disappeared at the beginning of the 20th century to the benefit of the seaside development of the city.
