He cycles from one gig to the next, powered by his own leg strength! His sound-equipped bike transforms into a groove machine, delivering an electro set worthy of the yellow jersey.

If a one-man band embraced active mobility, it would probably look a lot like JOUBe. Behind the name lies trained musician, tinkerer and passionate cyclist Romain Joubert. What began as a sustainable way to travel across the Jura and Greenland has gradually become an instrument in its own right. Equipped with contact microphones, strings, a small keyboard and a whole collection of knobs and pedals, JOUBe crafts an electro sound that is playful, bouncy and endlessly inventive wherever he goes.
Travelling from town to town and crossing borders along the way, JOUBe has also gathered recordings, sounds and stories that he weaves into his live sets, drawing audiences into his roaming explorations. La Bâtie invites you aboard this nomadic, DIY dancefloor, from L’Ariana to Hermance beach and the lycée in Saint-Genis-Pouilly. With JOUBe, music rolls forward, connects people and places, and turns every stop into an improvised celebration.
For this bike-and-music ride, meet at 18.30 at CERN (Esplanade de Particules) to meet JOUBe, record some sounds and, above all, cycle to the concert venue as a peloton! The concert will take place at 19.00 in Saint Genis-Pouilly, in the inner courtyard of the Lycée international.
In addition to this bike-and-music ride on 28 August, two other concerts are planned with JOUBe.

- Thursday, August 27, 19:00 – Plage d'Hermance (concert)

Si l’homme-orchestre était adepte de mobilité active, il s'appellerait JOUBe. Derrière ce nom de scène, se cache Romain Joubert, musicien de formation, bricoleur et cycliste par passion. D’abord moyen de locomotion pour parcourir le Jura et le Groenland dans une logique de durabilité, son vélo est devenu son nouvel instrument de musique. Armé de micros de contact, de quelques cordes, d’un petit clavier et d’une ribambelle de potards, JOUBe distille une musique électro, dansante et festive partout où il passe.
En circulant de ville en ville, en traversant les frontières, le Français a aussi capté et enregistré des sons et des témoignages qu’il utilise lors de ses sets pour embarquer le public dans ses explorations. La Bâtie vous embarque dans ce dancefloor nomade, de l’Ariana à la plage d’Hermance jusqu’au lycée de Saint-Genis-Pouilly. Avec JOUBe, la musique roule, relie et transforme chaque étape en fête improvisée.
Pour cette cyclo-escapade, rendez-vous à 18:30 au CERN (Esplanade de Particules) pour une rencontre avec JOUBe, des prises de son et surtout pour rallier le lieu de concert en peloton ! Le concert aura lieu à 19:00 à Saint Genis-Pouilly, dans la cour intérieure du Lycée international.
