Anja Kaiser, based in Leipzig, Germany, is a researcher and graphic designer. Her approach to the practice of design is deliberately feminist, a position that she approaches from the historical and political point of view. As a feminist of the younger generation, she questions intersectionality and its challenges in a heterogeneous society.
Her practice as a graphic designer is dedicated to supporting feminist and emancipatory projects and sponsors.
More than a retrospective of the young designer, the exhibition makes visible the presence of women and the LBGTQI community: rebellious and confident.
She questions representations and binary norms in society, but also in the culture of graphics.
Writing is integrated into Anja Kaiser’s practice, which allows her to create multi-vocal narratives that mix pop-culture and feminism, in a work that claims solidarity and collaboration as pillars of equality.
Among her clients and commissions are identity creations for feminist or queer initiatives, such as the dgtl fmnsm cyber-feminist event, or the Balance and Cry Baby clubbings, in which she also takes part as a programmer. His resolutely multimedia work is based on text as messages.
