The AICC was formed in 1985 in Hérouville Saint-Clair (near Caen), to meet the needs of Muslims in Calvados (about 5,000 families). Since its inception, the AICC has made considerable efforts to build a worthy mosque to serve the interests of Muslims and contribute to the development of society. In recent years, the AICC has finalized the construction of the mosque of Herouville Saint Clair thanks to God and the donations of the faithful.
AICC Objectives and Achievements
* Construction of a socio-cultural centre.
* Supervision of Muslim children, youth and families
* Support of specialized associations (students, women, youth, humanitarian etc.)
* Foster exchange and dialogue between cultures and civilizations
* Defending human rights and combating all forms of discrimination
* Organization of seminars and training.
* Teaching the Arabic language and Islamic education and tutoring
* The organization of the congress of Muslims of Normandy.
* Supervision of pilgrims.
