This route lasts 8.5 kilometres and lasts about 4 hours. Caen is a green city with 500 hectares of parks and gardens. This hike will allow you to know both the specificities and the history of these different green spaces:
the Jardin des Plantes (a true museum of the Norman and medicinal flora, its history is linked to the passion of men such as Baptiste Callard de la Ducquerie, François Marescot and Sébastien Blot);
the Valley of the Gardens (old natural meadows of the Vimard Farm, this space of 11ha is an ideal place of walk formed by valleys); the Hill of the Birds (former municipal landfill from 1923 to 1973 gradually transformed into a landscaped park composed of thematic gardens including an exceptional rose garden amphitheatre). A visit led by Patricia Lengyel.
Bookings open end of August 2020
