The Stars

With its graceful movements and refined costumes, the Royal Ballet of Cambodia has been bringing to life the founding legends of the Khmer people for over a thousand years. Its performances, which traditionally accompanied royal and sacred ceremonies (coronations, weddings, feasts), have since acquired an international reputation. With its sacred and symbolic role, dance embodies the traditional values of respect and spirituality of an art form that narrowly escaped annihilation in the 1970s.
