On the occasion of the Bicentenary of Photography and the 75th anniversary of PICTO laboratories, the label The Eyes dedicated to the image, imagines a program aimed at highlighting and sharing a know-how often unknown but essential to photography, that of film printing. Conceived as a space for dialogue between past and present, Les métamorphoses du laboratoire celebrates photography not only as visual art and historical heritage, but also as a culture of gesture, light, and time. The book, produced by The Eyes Publishig, in collaboration with Picto Foundation, under the co-direction of Luce Lebart and Vincent Marcilhacy, brings together interviews with shooters and portfolios of artists and photographers whose work is influenced by laboratory experimentation.
During this meeting, Vincent Marcilhacy and the photographer Grégoire Eloy come back to these particular moments associated with the appearance of the image on paper.
