The collaboration between musician François Joncour and photographer Benjamin Deroche was born from a shared passion for island territories.
In the continuity of his series on coastlines, where he combines installations, optical devices, floating objects and work on light,
Beniamin Deroche has been building his Eusa series since 2008 through a set of regular trips to Ushant.
Echoing the visual device, François Joncour’s electronic sounds collide with acoustic sources and concrete sounds.
and the images to compose a shifting audiovisual material that evolves, through improvisations, between marine melodies, textures, and massive drones.
This musical performance, whose visual installation was provided by Michel Cam, is thought of as an immersive and poetic journey in the heart of this island at the end of the world.
It is the result of several immersion sessions on the island of Ouessant.
This is a performance where the photographs of Benjamin Deroche will be projected in the pool pool (images by Michel cam). François Joncour will play live the soundtrack imagined for this project.
This performance is a new way to imagine the demonstration of a photographic project. It will be followed by a conversation with the artists.
