Die 1979 von Antal Jokesz in Veszprém ins Leben gerufene Ausstellung und Publikationsreihe Documentum erlebte, wie ihre assoziierten Kuratoren über mehrere Jahrzehnte eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Formung des künstlerischen Diskurses spielten. Die Initiative hat sich zu einem theoretischen und visuellen Forum entwickelt, das den Praktiken des analogen und digitalen Bildes an der Schnittstelle von Fotografie und bildender Kunst gewidmet ist und auch experimentellen Ansätzen Raum bietet. Bis heute haben sich 46 Fotografen und bildende Künstler an den Projekten beteiligt, wobei die zugehörigen Publikationen die Beiträge von etwa 50 ungarischen und internationalen Spezialisten beherbergen. Documentum hat auch den Aufstieg mehrerer Generationen von Künstlern inspiriert. Über die Darstellung ihrer Geschichte hinaus versucht diese neue Ausgabe des Documentum-Projekts, die Serie zu erweitern, indem sie zeitgenössische Trends integriert und gleichzeitig die Entwicklung der Interpretationsrahmen der klassischen Fotografie hinterfragt.

Launched in 1979 in Veszprém by Antal Jokesz, the series of exhibitions and publications Documentum has seen its associated curators play, for several decades, a decisive role in shaping artistic discourse. The initiative has become a theoretical and visual forum dedicated to the practices of analogue and digital images, at the intersection of photography and plastic arts, also offering a space for experimental approaches. To date, 46 photographers and visual artists have participated in the projects, with associated publications welcoming contributions from around 50 Hungarian and international specialists. Documentum has also inspired the emergence of several generations of artists. Beyond the presentation of its history, this new edition of the Documentum project seeks to extend the series by integrating contemporary trends, while questioning the evolution of the frames of interpretation of classical photography.

Lanciata nel 1979 a Veszprém da Antal Jokesz, la serie di mostre e pubblicazioni Documentum ha visto i suoi commissari associati svolgere per diversi decenni un ruolo determinante nella formazione del discorso artistico. L'iniziativa è diventata un forum teorico e visivo dedicato alle pratiche dell'immagine analogica e digitale, all'incrocio tra fotografia e arti plastiche, offrendo anche uno spazio per approcci sperimentali. Ad oggi, 46 fotografi e artisti visivi hanno partecipato ai progetti, con le relative pubblicazioni che accolgono i contributi di circa 50 specialisti ungheresi e internazionali. Documentum ha anche ispirato l'emergere di diverse generazioni di artisti. Oltre alla presentazione della sua storia, questa nuova edizione del progetto Documentum cerca di estendere la serie integrando le tendenze contemporanee e interrogando l'evoluzione dei quadri interpretativi della fotografia classica.

Lancée en 1979 à Veszprém par Antal Jokesz, la série d’expositions et de publications Documentum a vu ses commissaires associés jouer, pendant plusieurs décennies, un rôle déterminant dans la formation du discours artistique. L’initiative est devenue un forum théorique et visuel consacré aux pratiques de l’image analogique et numérique, à l’intersection de la photographie et des arts plastiques, offrant également un espace aux démarches expérimentales. À ce jour, 46 photographes et artistes plasticiens ont participé aux projets, avec les publications associées accueillant les contributions d’environ 50 spécialistes hongrois et internationaux. Documentum a également inspiré l’émergence de plusieurs générations d’artistes. Au-delà de la présentation de son histoire, cette nouvelle édition du projet Documentum cherche à prolonger la série en intégrant des tendances contemporaines, tout en interrogeant l’évolution des cadres d’interprétation de la photographie classique.

La iniciativa se ha convertido en un foro teórico y visual dedicado a las prácticas de la imagen analógica y digital, en la intersección de la fotografía y las artes plásticas, ofreciendo también un espacio para los enfoques experimentales. Hasta la fecha, 46 fotógrafos y artistas plásticos han participado en los proyectos, con publicaciones asociadas que acogen las contribuciones de unos 50 especialistas húngaros e internacionales. Documentum también inspiró el surgimiento de varias generaciones de artistas. Más allá de la presentación de su historia, esta nueva edición del proyecto Documentum busca ampliar la serie integrando tendencias contemporáneas, al tiempo que interroga la evolución de los marcos de interpretación de la fotografía clásica.
