Friday 20 September, Montmajour Abbey invites you to attend a concert by the Irini ensemble ‘JANUA’ as part of the ‘les fêtes des 4 saisons’ festival in the heart of Montmajour Abbey.

Through the monumental works of Dufay and his Byzantine contemporaries, JANUA takes you on a journey through a unique period in the history of civilisation: the last attempt to unite East and West at the time of the fall of Constantinople (1453). To the sound of the Irini ensemble's voices mingling with medieval sackbut and trumpets, discover the musical treasures that emerged from this unparalleled explosion of life and creativity, which saw artists and thinkers from both sides of the Mediterranean join forces in the hope of averting the fall of a civilisation!

Fancy attending the concert? Then don't wait, book your tickets with the festival!
