Concert and sound exhibition
Let’s discover together La Verrerie and its architectural heritage on Friday, September 20 with animations during this evening!
📜 From 6pm: Concert and sound exhibition Do not miss a unique moment of sharing and discovery on the occasion of the concert and sound exhibition from the creative residency for seniors with Alzheimer’s disease. This project, led by Arthemusa musician Manon Ghobrial and “Butterflies” accompanist Nadia Chebil, has revived the memories of residents through music, stories and photos of yesteryear 📸
The exhibition will immerse you in a sound immersion, where the voices of seniors and their stories 💃, captured during the residency, will mingle with moving images of their past. We will hear recordings of their memories, anecdotes full of life and tenderness that reveal a whole personal and cultural heritage.
The highlight will be a small concert during which the seniors themselves will sing the music they have (re)discovered during these 2 weeks, surrounded by their families and those who accompany them on a daily basis. It will be a moment full of emotions, a real musical journey through time, which will celebrate the link between the generations 🧑🦳🧒 and the power of memories.
------------------------------- La Verrerie*, c'est quoi ? It is a site with vast outdoor spaces, buildings steeped in history and a rich basement of the city’s Roman past. It is also a third place that hosts a varied cultural program based on a sensitive approach by practice. We can meet there all year round to make workshops around creation, ecology, health, digital and co-construction. Everyone is welcome, young and old alike!
*La Verrerie is accessible to members of the third place on registration with a limited gauge >> free membership to the third place from 1 € online: https://bit.ly/4abCg4m
The evening takes place outdoors on the site of La Verrerie, chemin de la Verrerie in Arles. Plan an outfit adapted to the weather! >> Recommended access: on foot, by bus (#5 – Verrerie stop) or by bike. Few car parking nearby.
In case of very bad weather, an announcement is made on the Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/destinationtierslieu) and the event is cancelled.
