With or without kids: come in your pajamas (nightgown, onesie, nightie, romper…) with your pillow, blanket, or stuffed animal… we’ll tell you a story—a beautiful story
We’ve invited Anne Herbauts to create a story inspired by the Geneva canton and its residents. Her project will unfold over two years, involving plenty of pencil-sharpening, and featuring wooden figures, scalloped pots, and rat-shaped pots, all coming together to form “The Neverending Story.”
We’re sharing the first glimpse of this project during this Grand Pyjama event, accompanied by a reading from her picture book *Broutille*, published in 2016 by Casterman.
The text will be read at dusk, on the same day and at the same time, in several municipalities across the canton—one of which (at the SDL) will feature a sign language interpretation. A grand evening gathering, spanning the entire region.

Avec ou sans enfants : venez en pyjama (en chemise de nuit, combinaison, nuisette, barboteuse…) avec votre coussin, votre couverture, votre doudou… on va vous raconter une histoire, une belle histoire, de celles qui invitent à s’endormir avec délicatesse…
Nous avons invité Anne Herbauts à composer une histoire à partir du canton genevois, ses habitantes et habitants. Son projet se déploiera sur deux ans, taillera bien des crayons, invitera des bonhommes de bois, des pots à festons, des pots à rataillons, pour composer « l’interminable histoire ».
Nous en partageons le premier élan lors de ce Grand Pyjama, accompagné de la lecture de son album « Broutille » paru en 2016 chez Casterman.
Un texte lu au crépuscule, le même jour, à la même heure, dans plusieurs communes du canton – dont une (à la SDL) sera accompagnée d’une interprétation en langue des signes. Une grande veillée, à l’échelle du territoire.
