Exhibition "The Daughters of the Lost Sailors"
THE DAUGHTERS OF THE LOST SAILORS Teresa Radice and Stefano Turconi
Teresa Radice (screenwriter) and Stefano Turconi (cartoonist) are a couple of authors. They work with four hands, notably for the weekly Toppolino, the Italian version of Mickey’s Diary. They like to confront the universe of Walt Disney with the great classics of literature: Treasure Island, Pride and Prejudice. The other part of their work is devoted to youth: Tosca des Bois, Orlando, Violette autour du Monde.
If they meet in 2004, it will be necessary to wait until 2015 for a common graphic novel to be created: Le port des Marins Perdus. Published in 2016 by Glénat, the book is crowned with success and receives numerous awards. Two years later, they collaborate again together with Tiny Love. In 2020, the world of the Lost Sailors' Harbour expanded with the stories of the Lost Sailors' Daughters.
For the first time, Quai des Bulles is taking over the Saint-Malo Stock Exchange Ferry Terminal and more precisely the bay windows of this iconic building! What could be better for this occasion than to present two beautiful albums by Teresa Radice and Stefano Turconi about travel, sailors, sailing boats and adventures…
