The workshop proposed by Sébastien Llaurens and Simona Gabrielli, as part of the "Alter Méditerranée" AMU project for the 2026 Mediterranean season, will focus on comics. The two speakers will first present the richness of comics in the Mediterranean, especially since the 2000s, the topics they address, the questions they raise and the representations they propose. The workshop will then focus on the books edited by Simona Gabrielli within Alifbata. Alifbata editions were born in 2015 from the desire to make known in France and in French translation the comic strip of the Maghreb and the Middle East. Whether they are comics or graphic novels, individual or collective works, contemporary authors or heritage books, the Alifbata editions aim to discover the richness of this artistic production. The speakers will base their workshop on these books, which are sometimes difficult to publish and still relevant.

Il workshop proposto da Sébastien Llaurens e Simona Gabrielli, nell'ambito del progetto di AMU "Alter Méditerranée" della stagione Mediterraneo 2026 si concentrerà sul fumetto. I due relatori presenteranno innanzitutto la ricchezza del fumetto nel Mediterraneo, in particolare dagli anni 2000, gli argomenti che tratta, le domande che pone e le rappresentazioni che propone. Il workshop si concentrerà poi sui libri curati da Simona Gabrielli presso Alifbata. Le edizioni Alifbata sono nate nel 2015 dalla voglia di far conoscere in Francia e in traduzione francese il fumetto del Maghreb e del Medio Oriente. Che si tratti di fumetti o di romanzi grafici, di opere individuali o collettive, di autori contemporanei o di opere storiche, le edizioni Alifbata hanno lo scopo di far scoprire la ricchezza di questa produzione artistica. I relatori sosterranno il loro workshop su queste opere, a volte difficili da pubblicare e sempre attuali.

El taller propuesto por Sébastien Llaurens y Simona Gabrielli, en el marco del proyecto de AMU «Alter Méditerranée» de la temporada Mediterráneo 2026 se centrará en el cómic. Los dos ponentes presentarán en primer lugar la riqueza del cómic en el Mediterráneo, especialmente desde los años 2000, los temas que trata, las preguntas que plantea y las representaciones que propone. El taller se concentrará luego en torno a los libros editados por Simona Gabrielli dentro de Alifbata. Las ediciones Alifbata nacieron en 2015 con el deseo de dar a conocer en Francia y en traducción francesa el cómic del Magreb y de Oriente Medio. Ya se trate de cómics o novelas gráficas, obras individuales o colectivas, autores contemporáneos u obras patrimoniales, las ediciones Alifbata tienen como objetivo hacer descubrir la riqueza de esta producción artística. Los ponentes apoyarán su taller en estas obras, a veces difíciles de editar y siempre de actualidad.
