Cyanotype is an ancient photographic technique that uses light to create images of deep blue, called "Prussian blue". A paper is previously coated with a photosensitive solution. Plants, flowers, leaves or small objects are then arranged on the paper before being exposed to light. After rinsing with water, the image appears gradually, revealing delicate bluish silhouettes.
During this workshop, Sarah invites you to discover and experiment with this creative and accessible technique.
You will learn to:
- prepare your paper with the photosensitive solution;
- choose and compose natural elements to create your image;
- play with shapes, transparencies, and overlays;

Le cyanotype est une ancienne technique photographique qui utilise la lumière pour créer des images d’un bleu profond, appelé « bleu de Prusse ». Un papier est préalablement enduit d’une solution photosensible. Des végétaux, fleurs, feuilles ou petits objets sont ensuite disposés sur le papier avant d’être exposés à la lumière. Après rinçage à l’eau, l’image apparaît progressivement, révélant de délicates silhouettes bleutées.
Au cours de cet atelier, Sarah vous propose de découvrir et d’expérimenter cette technique créative et accessible.
Vous apprendrez à :
- - préparer votre papier avec la solution photosensible ;
- - choisir et composer des éléments naturels pour créer votre image ;
- - jouer avec les formes, les transparences et les superpositions ;
- - réaliser vos propres cyanotypes et découvrir la magie de leur révélation à l’eau.
Chacun pourra ainsi créer des pièces uniques, en laissant une place à l’expérimentation, à la lumière et à la poésie.
Une collation vous sera proposée pendant l'atelier.

Cyanotype is een oude fotografische techniek die licht gebruikt om diepblauwe beelden te creëren, genaamd "Pruisisch blauw". Een papier is eerder gecoat met een lichtgevoelige oplossing. Planten, bloemen, bladeren of kleine voorwerpen worden vervolgens op het papier geplaatst voordat ze worden blootgesteld aan licht. Na het spoelen met water wordt het beeld geleidelijk weergegeven, waardoor de subtiele blauwe silhouetten zichtbaar worden.
Tijdens deze workshop nodigt Sarah je uit om deze creatieve en toegankelijke techniek te ontdekken en te experimenteren.
U leert hoe u:
- bereid uw papier met de lichtgevoelige oplossing;
- kies en componeer natuurlijke elementen om uw afbeelding te creëren;
- spelen met vormen, transparanten en overlays;
