Yoga in the museum!
oga sessions return to MEG in 2023. From January to April, one session per month will be offered, focusing on the "traditional" dimension of this discipline. These sessions are a way to introduce participants to this practice born in India, which consists of connecting the mind, body and soul, thanks to a set of physical, spiritual, mental and breathing exercises and practices.
To this end, Michelle Kamerzin, from Yoga Lab, has created sequences of postures, or âsana, especially for MEG, which integrate harmoniously into the décor of the permanent exhibition.
Yoga sūtra
Patanjali's Yoga sūtra are the scriptures that form the basis of virtually all yoga practice, ancient and modern. Extracts will be read during this session and will be the starting point for exploring yoga asanas (poses) and conscious breathing (pranayama).
