The Jam is back!

The Bühnen im Haus der Statistik invite you to our Open-Air Jam Session !

We have arisen from the ashes of this former GDR state agency to boastfully call all those who wish to conjure up the spirit of the jam session.

Our Stage (an old carscooter) can accommodate 9 musicians simultaneously, while respecting all hygiene rules.

For our audience in front of the screen the show will be streamed in high sound and video quality.

Our core ensemble will keep the show running from 2pm to 10pm, and will be complimented continuously by new musicians.

What do we mean by Jam?

We truly believe in the values of free music, no time-limits and no solo-orgies for self centered purposes. We want our music to inspire,to challenge, to be a medium of communication and a tool to form new bonds and friendships. That’s the core and that is what we want to celebrate this year’s Fête de la Musique. We don’t care about abilities or style – most importantly we have fun, are spontaneous and celebrate all the possibilities improv music has to offer. That's why we follow these three values:

Listen – The basis of everything. Take your time to listen and understand what’s going on around you.

Feel – feel what direction the music is leading to, what each and everyone wants to share and how you can join this process.

Let it Flow – when you feel that impuls, follow it, this is the most honest thing you can do, and honesty is what’s paramount.
