Free visit of the chapel
The chapel: built in Gothic style (15th century) on the site of the oratory of the "Saint Céneri", it sits proudly in a large meadow nestled in a loop of the Sarthe.
The Saint is said to have crossed the Sarthe after having made a source spring.
When one enters the chapel one sees a stone on the ground which would have served as a bed for the founder of the place. Two traditions are attached to it: on the one hand children suffering from incontinence can lie down there to be healed, on the other hand, lying down on the stone would favor the pregnancy of young women wishing to give birth.
Two statutes are present including that of the "Saint" to which a tradition remains attached: the girls wishing to marry are invited to prick a needle in the saint’s dress, if the needle remains planted in the stone, their wish will be raised in the year... On weekends at nightfall one can appreciate the clearing on the valley and the edge of sarthe , time stops.
