On the municipality of Mignaloux-Beauvoir close to Poitiers, the located university botanical gardens the domain of Deffend extends over a 33 hectare area. This property is a site of experimentation of scientific activities in connection with the domain of environment, a space of popularisation, a place of welcome(reception) and of information about the regional plant heritage presented under about ten collections. The visitor will find a protective orchard, wild and horticultural curative, aromatic, food plants there.
