L'exposition Flash-back, dont la scénographie s'inscrit dans une volonté de sobriété et de respect de la nature chère au projet, retrace les différentes étapes de l'histoire du Cairn, un véritable « laboratoire artistique en montagne » pionnier en France et en Europe par la dimension de l'espace concerné. Cette rétrospective s'appuie sur les archives du Cairn et sur une sélection d'oeuvres prêtées par les artistes. Pendant plus d'un an le vidéaste Jean-Baptiste Warluzel, lors de nombreux séjours auxquels il a été invité, a produit une oeuvre pour cette exposition Second Plan.
