At the northern outlet of the Boucle de la Moselle, the Battery of the Spur gathers in one place a very large number of specific elements of the defense system «Séré de Rivières» Its role was to protect the communications nodes and prevent any intrusion into the Hague forest.
It has a masterpiece of late-19th-century technology: the last tower from 155 to eclipse, in France. A steel monster that impresses with its size and technology.
Patiently restored, it features a 95 Lahitolle model 1888 gun and a 90 Bange model 1877 gun.
The museum exhibits material from the two major conflicts of the 20th century.
Access by champigneulles, rue Pasteur - signposted path - parking.

Elément of the tray(plateau) strengthened by Frouard, in the defence system “Séré of Rivers”, protecting access towards Toul and assuring(insuring) the defence of the knots of communication and of Nancy. Edifiée between 1879 and 1883, from triangular original shape, and from a 25 000 m2 surface with facade of so called throat(breast) - bastionnée, the battery(drum kit) is surrounded by a narrow ditch(gap). Two exceptional blockhouses Mougin and especially the last copy in France, on five building in 1890, of a turret with eclipse Rascal for two artillery of 155 L of Bange are found there.
