Hund von Columbo

Die Berliner Band „Hund von Columbo“, rund um den Singer/Songwriter Jens Häußer tut niemandem etwas, sondern will nur spielen: Musik nämlich!
Diese klingt dann nach deutschem Indiepop, mit einem Tupfer Americana und einem Schuss Folk- und Garagenrock der 60er Jahre.
Die Texte sind mal ironisch, mal melancholisch und lassen sich irgendwo zwischen Neuer Deutschen Welle und Hamburger Schule verorten, das aber ohne alte Zeit aufleben lassen zu wollen. Mit Wortwitz wird kritisch verhandelt, was das urbane Leben momentan so hergibt. Der Hund nimmt sich dabei nicht unnötig wichtig, fragt dann aber doch nochmal nach.
Was dabei herauskommt ist: Lagerfeuer-Stadionrock für die Berliner Eckkneipe oder den Tanztee.

The Berlin band "Hund von Columbo" (Dog of Columbo), led by singer/songwriter Jens Häußer, doesn't want to hurt anyone, they just want to play: They sound like German indie pop, with a touch of Americana and a dash of 60s folk and garage rock. The lyrics are sometimes ironic, sometimes melancholic and can be located somewhere between New German Wave and Hamburg School, but without wanting to revive the old days. With witty words, they critically discuss what urban life has to offer at the moment. The dog does not take himself unnecessarily seriously, but then asks again. The result is campfire stadium rock for the Berlin corner bar or the tea dance
