[POSTPONED] Tech-Vernissage – Painting the picture of future deep tech entrepreneurship

The Tech-Vernissage is a newly created format, in which start-up teams together with researchers and organizations discuss questions on the future of deep tech entrepreneurship from diverse perspectives. The results are manifested via a graphic recording.

The event will be conducted by RWTH Innovation, the Technology Transfer Office and Center for Entrepreneurship of RWTH Aachen University together with Fraunhofer Venture, which is responsible for the spin-off and investment management of the German Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft e.V., the biggest organization for applied research in Europe. We invite entrepreneurs, researcher institutions, universities and corporates to join our Tech-Vernissage.

The event requires a high involvement of all participating people to debate pressing deep tech topics from the most relevant perspectives. It will also foster international and interdisciplinary collaboration of people shaping the deep tech future by providing sufficient opportunities for networking between all participants.

The event starts with a delicious flying buffet that provides first networking opportunities between our guests. After an introductory keynote speech, 4 tech teams, each representing one perspective (see below), will present their technologies, founding ideas and start-ups in mini-pitches. This will set the common ground before all participants will discuss these topics in greater depth together with the tech teams, our experts and all other guests per station (i.e. start-up team). The discussions strive to generate new insights on digital health, AI, IoT and university incubators in the light of motivational drivers, regional conditions and global challenges.

The results will be manifested via a graphic recording: All key take-aways are visualized on a large-scale poster by a graphics expert in parallel to the actual discussions. This will enable a mutual discussion of the big picture and conclusion immediately after the discussions at the stations.

This Tech-Vernissage is one of many steps on our journey of making Europe ready for the next level of deep tech entrepreneurship.
