Francis Jacob ist Orgelprofessor am Straßburger Konservatorium, Konzertpianist (solo oder mit den Ensembles Gli Angeli, Hathor Consort, Le Concert Royal usw.) und künstlerischer Leiter des Vereins der Freunde der Saessolsheim-Orgel.
Die 1995 von Bernard Aubertin erbaute Saessolsheim-Orgel (dieses Konzert ist Teil der Feierlichkeiten zum 30-jährigen Jubiläum) eignet sich ideal für die Aufführung deutscher Barockmusik, kann aber wie viele hochwertige Instrumente auch gerne für andere Repertoires eingesetzt werden.
Das Konzert ist Alexandre-Pierre-François Boëly (19. Jahrhundert) gewidmet. Boëly gehörte nicht zu den berühmtesten Musikern dieser Zeit; er mied gesellschaftliche Ereignisse, was zwar seine Karriere, nicht aber seine Arbeit als Komponist behinderte. Er war einer der ersten Musiker in Frankreich, der sich für J. S. Bach interessierte. Das vorgeschlagene Programm ist repräsentativ für die Vielfalt und den Reichtum dieses wunderschönen Repertoires.

Francis Jacob is an organ professor at the Strasbourg Conservatory, a concert pianist (solo or with the ensembles Gli Angeli, Hathor Consort, Le Concert Royal, etc.), and an artistic director of the Association of Friends of the Saessolsheim Organ.
The Saessolsheim organ, built by Bernard Aubertin in 1995 (this concert is part of the 30th anniversary celebrations), is ideal for the performance of German Baroque music, but like many fine instruments, it can also be used with pleasure in other repertoires.
The concert will be devoted to Alexandre-Pierre-François Boëly (19th century). Boëly was not one of the most famous musicians of this period; he shunned social events, which hampered his career, but not his work as a composer. He was one of the first musicians in France to take an interest in J. S. Bach. The proposed program is representative of the variety and richness of this beautiful repertoire.
If you would like to participate in a carpool, either as a passenger or driver, contact the Association of Friends of the Saessolsheim Organ, who will try to organize it. Carpooling saves money, is environmentally friendly, simplifies parking, and perhaps leads to the meeting of some friendly people.

L’orgue de Saessolsheim, construit par Bernard Aubertin en 1995 (ce concert s’inscrit dans le cadre des festivités du 30è anniversaire), est idéal pour l’interprétation de la musique baroque allemande, mais comme beaucoup de bons instruments, peut s’approprier aussi avec bonheur d’autres répertoires.
Le concert sera consacré à Alexandre-Pierre-François Boëly (19è siècle). Boëly ne fait pas partie des musiciens les plus connus de cette époque, il fuyait notamment les mondanités, ce qui a freiné sa carrière, mais pas son activité de compositeur. Il est un des premiers musiciens en France à s’intéresser à J. S. Bach.
Le programme proposé est représentatif de la variété et de la richesse de ce très beau répertoire.
Pour les concerts à Saessolsheim, l’association des amis de l’orgue incite au co-voiturage, comme passager ou conducteur. Elle invite les intéressés à la contacter afin de mettre les personnes en contact.
