P 2: 1

The idea of ​​the project P 2: 1 is reflected in re-creating scenes from the everyday environment, partially retaining original coloring.

As a technique, Polaroid was chosen because it provides a variety of different possibilities for manipulating the emulsion itself - from the moment of the creation of the photograph, to the very end of the development process. Collage, chemical treatment, mixing emulsion with watercolor are just some of them. Due to the nature of the material, all the elements are assembled into a digital image in a 2: 1 ratio. Throughout the process of work, the original photographs slowly disappear, while imaginary lands appear in their place as the result of imagination. The inspiration lies in the textures of decaying, destroyed buildings and space. Seeing the forms and surfaces from another angle, how to use them in a new, interesting way - an inexhaustible theme for thinking that always represents a "creative challenge".

Vesna Dobricic was born on September 4, 1997 in Belgrade. Since 2016 she has been studying photography at the Faculty of Applied Arts. Into analog photography and alternative techniques. She has participated in several group exhibitions in Belgrade and the festival "7 Days of Creation" in Istria.
