FAKE i REAL ME, by CORINNE MARIAUD
20 April to 13 June
Free admission, appointments apart from opening hours (except holidays)
Photographer Corinne Mariaud presents FAKE i REAL ME, a photographic series shot in Singapore and Seoul that explores the importance of physical appearance amongst young women in these cities.
From coloured contact lenses in Singapore to the extreme pursuit of perfection in Seoul where young women go to great lengths to enhance their appearance, FAKE i REAL ME discovers how the face can become a personal construction that is constantly reworked until it reaches the ideal state of beauty.
